Soothing spaces with clarity and identity
We have been Terveystalo's partner responsible for developing the spatial identity of their customer spaces since 2022. As part of our on-going partnership, we have designed a spatial concept that will be implemented in all new and renovated spaces, and we oversee and continually develop the concept. The first unit to implement the new concept is Terveystalo Kamppi in central Helsinki. We have designed the main lobby, customer service area, childrens' waiting areas, premium lounge, some of the corridors & staff spaces as well as the spaces of the mental wellbeing unit.

Warm yet professional

The updated spatial identity aims to complement Terveystalo’s clean-lined and recognisable brand with a greater sense of warmth and human connection. Core elements of the concept such as wood materials, greenery, and Finnish-made furniture are approachable and suitable for both flagship locations in cities and smaller clinics in rural areas. Special attention has been given to the scalability of design solutions, streamlined procurement processes, and the specific requirements of the healthcare sector.

A key goal of the updated spatial identity is longevity. The design elements were chosen and crafted to withstand heavy physical wear while remaining stylistically enduring. Since the concept is applied across a wide variety of Terveystalo units, all selected products and materials were chosen for their ability to fit as flexibly and seamlessly as possible into different types of buildings and environments. Beyond the reception and customer service areas in Kamppi, the new look has been implemented in spaces such as the children’s waiting areas and the mental wellbeing unit. The new look is currently being rolled out into several hospitals and clinics nationwide.
