Eclectic and bold workplace with youthful energy
We designed an office facelift for the Children and Youth Foundation, a Finnish non-profit foundation dedicated to supporting a brighter future for young people. Their offices in Helsinki had aged over time and were in need of both functional and visual renewal. The goal was for the spaces to radiate an energetic, youthful atmosphere, with a bold play of colors. The new spaces have a vibrant, layered - even slightly whimsical - look, while still giving a sense of order. The design approach was to boldly refresh while preserving existing elements.

The space already featured interesting and historical details, such as the parquet floors and fireplace, which were to be preserved. With small updates like painting walls and doors, adding new lighting and acoustic panelling, a significant transformation was achieved. One of the meeting rooms was turned into a studio room, suitable for content creation and hosting webinars. The furniture is bold and colourful, and combines old and new playfully. Rooms of desks were replaced softer sofa groups and shared-use tables that encourage more collaboration. As a result of the change, the staff has been enjoying the office even more.
