A more ethical and approachable casino experience
We were picked as one of the winners of a national interior- and experience design for Veikkaus' new casino in Tampere. Veikkaus organised a competition to find bold, innovative solutions for the casino experience of the future. We created an approachable and experiential concept with the aim of redesigning the casino into a new, more sustainable, inclusive and ethical space. Our concept utilises organic and natural materials, and counterbalances it with large adaptable digital surfaces to create living artwork, different atmospheres and surprises.

Large live art surfaces
The interactive entrance tunnel creates a feeling of intrigue and monumentality that something amazing is inside. On the other side is the main area - an open and visible space with lots of greenery and good views outdoors to create a natural atmosphere. The lighting shifts with the time of day and desired atmosphere, and digital surfaces change the whole mood of the casino, to add surprise and novelty to each visit. During the day, the space is like a greenhouse: fresh, bright and biophilic; while in the evenings, it's like a champagne bottle: bubbly & festive. Our aim is to bring a new approach and add a little femininity, empathy and psychological safety to the casino environment.
